Beautiful Brown Eyes

I had just told my mother in January that I was going to start travel nursing in October. This was due to the fact that I had given up on finding any single men in St. Louis.

I work in the operating room of a major level 1 trauma center. One day in February, I walked into one of our many operating rooms and saw the most beautiful pair of brown eyes. Now mind you, all I ever see are eyes due to the surgical masks and hats. Much to my suprise, my first though was "I am going to marry this man!". I brushed it off quickly and went to work.

Since he was a new employee, the girls at work started their investigation. I finally heard through the grapevine that he was indeed single. About two weeks later, I got the chance to work the beautiful brown eyes. Later I found out that at this meeting...he was thinking to himself that I was the girl that he was going to marry. We still had not seen each others face yet!!! I asked him out 2 weeks later.

February 5 we went on our first date. In May, he asked me to start looking at rings. Later in May, we made it offical. He wanted to ask my father for my hand in marriage. It only took him 5 hours to get up the nerve. We all went out for dinner and are currently planning our 2003 wedding!
